The College of Education at Wayne State University is pleased to announce a search for a tenured faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in the History of Education and/or Cultural Studies in Education, with a research agenda centered on the study of Black education broadly defined.
This position, based in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) program, will include graduate teaching and doctoral advising, and will help shape curriculum, youth and professional development, and school-community engagement programs in coordination with the newly established WSU Detroit Center for Black Studies.
We are seeking candidates with a sustained community-engaged research agenda, a strong record of scholarly productivity, and the capacity to advise doctoral students early in their appointment as the College moves to launch a new Ph.D. program.
