Formerly the Oklahoma Industrial Institute and College for Girls (1908 – abt. 1911) and the Oklahoma College for Women (abt 1911. - 1965) and the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts (1965 - 1974). The extensive collections include dossiers on nearly every student who graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women, including information on parents’ occupations, religion, height, weight, hometown, and letters of recommendation for those entering the workforce. Other collections include curricular documents from its history as the Oklahoma College of Liberal Arts, when it developed its interdisciplinary core curriculum that is still in place today. Other collections include administrative documents, Board of Regents minutes, photographs, scrapbooks, and school uniforms.
The HES Archives Committee has created these lists of archival resources from suggestions made by the HES membership. The Committee encourages members to continue to build on these resources by suggesting additional collections or archive sites.
