The Children's Books collection holds 1,850 pedagogical children's books (school texts, Sunday School books, and primers).  Those published before 1801 and after 1820 can be searched on the AAS online catalog.  Those published between 1801 and 1820 are in process of being cataloged, and more are available on a regular basis.  The AAS also has one of the largest collections of children's literature in the U.S. and a large collection of picture books.
